The state released its findings from the four-month investigation of an August poker tournament at Hialeah Park, and found violations on 11 counts.

Here’s my article and my Miami Herald debut.   Nice way to get rolling, and I appreciate their tagline at the end, noting my casino column, similar to what I wrote previously, debuts next week.

Some of the players who posted on other web sites, such as TwoPlusTwo, won’t be happy, saying the investigation didn’t get everything nailed that they thought happened. I have no opinion.

And, not to sound like an apologist, but I do like the cash-game action at Hialeah, and if you look at state figures, a lot of people do.

Now, I’m curious to see what the penalties are. I’ll update when they are handed down. So, bookmark SouthFloridaGambling.com.
