Hard Rock giving away seats for SHRPO

June and July could be construed as quiet months in South Florida poker, with players out at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas and others catching up with families as summer arrives. And most of the racetrack card rooms (except for the Isle, which we’ll get to later) have kept pretty much their same promotions and tournaments.
And while the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open is July 28-Aug. 16, the poker room is already concocting various ways to give away seats. There’s a lot to read here:

Step Satellites into the $5 Million Guaranteed Championship are $130 on Thursday, June 2, Sunday, June 5, Tuesday, June 7, Tuesday, June 14, Thursday, June 16, Tuesday, June 21, Thursday, June 23, Sunday, June 26, Tuesday, June 28, Thursday, June 30. The four-seat guarantee puts players into the $570 buy-in Mega Satellite, which will run at 4 p.m. Sundays in June and carry a five-seat guarantee.

Deep Stack Saturdays are at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. June 4, 18 and 25. The 11 a.m. guarantees $15,000 for $150. The 6 p.m. guarantees $5,000 for $130.

The June Big Stack Special has Day 1s at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. June 9, 10 and 11 and features a $75,000 guaranteed prize pool with a $150 buy-in. Day 2 will start at 1 p.m. on Sunday, June 12. A seat into the $5,250 SHRPO main event goes the winner.

The Monday Night Special at 6 p.m. June 20 features a $20,000 guaranteed prize pool with a $200 buy-in. Players receive $50 for every player they eliminate. A seat into the $5,250 SHRPO main event goes the winner.

From noon to midnight on Saturday, June 4 and Saturday, June 11, the high hand will include a $570 SHRPO Mega Satellite entry into the next day’s Satellite. On Thursday, June 16, Friday, June 24, and Thursday, June 30, the high hand will take place every 30 minutes from 6 p.m. to midnight with qualifying beginning at 5:30 p.m. and payouts of $1,000 with rollovers.

There is a four-seat guarantee on 6 p.m. satellites Thursday June 16, 23 and 30, where each winner will earn a $1,100 buy-in into Event 24 at the SHRPO featuring a $500,000 guarantee. The satellites will feature a buy-in of $135.

There is a four-seat guarantee on 6 p.m. satellites June 17 and 24, where each winner will earn a $2,650 buy-in into Event 23 featuring a $1 million guarantee. The satellites cost $300.

The Tuesday Night Special at 6 p.m. June 28 features a $20,000 guaranteed prize pool with a $150 buy-in. A seat into the $5,250 SHRPO main event goes the winner.

Meanwhile, there are incentives to play cash this month: The first 250 players to earn 60+ hours of live play from June 1 to June 30 will become eligible for a 3 p.m. Friday, July 8, free roll. First- and second-place winners will receive a $5,250 entry into the main event on Saturday, Aug. 13. Third and fourth place winners will receive a $2,650 entry into the 2016 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open Event 23 on Aug. 14. Fifth to eighth place winners will receive a $1,100 entry into Event 24 on Aug. 17. Ninth to 25th place winners will receive a $570 entry into the Championship Qualifier on July 17 and 26th to 45th place winners will receive a $400 entry into the 2016 Seminole Hard Rock Step II High Roller on either Monday, July 25 or Tuesday, July 26.
Players who earn 60-74 hours will receive a starting stack of 5,000 units, players who earn 75-89 hours receive 7,000 units and players with 90 or more hours receive 9,000 units. Players who qualify, register and participate will receive a $50 gift card. This event is limited to the first 250 players who qualify and register.

The Isle Casino has a $75 event with a $75K guarantee at 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. June 1-4. Then comes a $40,000 “Bankroll Maker” with Day 1 at 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. June 6. Day 2 is June 7. The PPC $110,000 guarantee is $120 with Day 1s at 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. June 13-15. Day 2 is June 16. Double guarantee Friday is at 6 p.m. June 17. Buy-in is $150 in the $20,000 guarantee event. June 22-26 is a Monster Stack (30,000 in chips), with a $125,000 guarantee for $100. A $100,000 Monster Stack (40,000 in chips) for $150 has Day 1s at 6 p.m. June 26-30.
A $2,000 free roll is at 10 a.m. June 8 and 29. A $5,000 free roll is at 6 p.m. June 20.
Then come the Florida State Poker Championships July 5-25.
Limit Hold ‘em Early Bird Promotions run from 9-11 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays The first 100 full houses in $2 straight receive $20; for $2-$4 it’s $40. No-limit high hands are $500 from noon to midnight June 10 and 17, 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. June 11 and 18 and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. June 20 and 27.

Seminole Casino Coconut Creek appears to have hit a sweet spot, with a $15,000 guarantee tournament for a $100 buy-in. The events are at 6 p.m. June 2, 25 and 30. A $25,000 tournament is at 6 p.m. June 8 and 20 for $130. The Andy Slater “See You Later” monthly event is at 6 p.m. May 14. Buy-in is $94 for the $20,000 guarantee. High hand bonus days are from 6:20 p.m. to 2 a.m. June 1, 6, 15, 21, 27 and 29. It’s $250 every 20 minutes from 12:20 p.m. to 6 p.m. and $500 every 20 minutes (with rollover) after that until 2 a.m.

Hialeah Park hosts a $50,000 guaranteed tournament, with Day 1s at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. June 7-11. Day 2 is June 12. Buy-in is $100 and the winner is guaranteed $15,000. Those who enter the 7 p.m. Monday night tournaments get a free buffet. Buy-in is $75 and the events carry a $5,000 guarantee. There are also $100 tournaments at 6 p.m. June 1, 15, 22 and 29, Wednesdays with a $10K guarantee and $100 bounty tournaments at 7 p.m. Saturdays, June 4, 18 and 25 with $5K guarantees. High hands include $400 every 30 minutes from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, $500 every 30 minutes or $250 every 15 minutes from noon to 10 p.m. on Fridays, $500 every 20 minutes from noon to 10 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Also, on June 8, 14, 20 and 28 it’s $500 every 20 minutes from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Then, those who win a high hand receive a voucher for a poker party at 6:45 p.m. June 26 and a chance to win up to $2,000.
The Casino @ Dania Beach has “Early In = Triple Win” in June. The first qualifying high hand 1 p.m. to midnight (Aces over 8s or better) wins $100, the second $200 and the third $300. Daily high hands are $250 every 30 minutes from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., $500 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Tournaments are at 1 p.m. Sunday for $80 and 1 p.m. Sunday for $45. The card room is also trying $50 tournaments at 1 p.m. weekdays. Also note that Dania and Magic City are on the Poker Desk Live app (similar to Bravo).
At Magic City Casino, it’s $1,500 high hands from 10 a.m. to noon on weekdays, $250 every 30 minutes from 1-10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, $400 every 30 minutes from noon to 2 a.m. On weekends, it’s $1,000 from 10 a.m. to noon, $400 every 30 minutes from noon to 4 p.m., $250 every 30 minutes from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and $400 again every 30 minutes from 8 p.m. to midnight. A big slick heart royal flush pays $20K, with everyone else in the hand getting $500. Other big slick royals pay $1,000 and all other royals are $500. Tournaments are at 8 p.m. Monday ($80) and 2 p.m. Thursday ($50). Magic City and Dania are the only racetrack casinos with other games, such as 3-card poker, Ultimate Texas Hold ‘em and Casino War.

Mardi Gras has free-roll tournaments at 7 p.m. nightly. Weeknights, there’s a $1,500 total prize money guarantee. Friday, Saturday and Sunday, it’s $2,500. The big event is the weekly 1 p.m. Sunday free-roll, with a $10K guarantee. The high hands (aces full of anything) are still $500 in $1-$2 to $1,000 in $2-$5 no-limit and run every 30 minutes with rollover from noon to 10 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and noon to midnight on weekends.

At Gulfstream Park, high hands are $500 from 1-10 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays, $200 Sundays through Wednesdays. Players who get quads but lose to a better hand get a $100 consolation prize (not bad). Tournaments are at 7 p.m. and cost $70 Monday, $90 Tuesday, $50 Wednesday (PLO), $110 Thursday, $70 Friday, $50 Saturday (with $10 rebuys), and $100 Sunday. Those who register before 7 p.m. receive 1,000 bonus units.
