Isle cleaner wins employee car drawing
Isle campaign climaxes with car giveaway
I’ve always liked the phase “catch them doing something right” when it comes to managing, and apparently that’s a philosophy at the Isle Casino and Racing in Pompano Beach.
The casino conducted a “Time to Shine” car giveaway recently, part of a yearly team member campaign to reward exemplary customer service.
There were approximately 4,000 total entries and 780 eligible team members. Team Members received entries by receiving bling chips, positive mentions from guests, nominations from coworkers, or one automatic entry for FY16. (Had I thought, I would have put in for Doug the poker dealer and the woman at Myron’s who deftly dealt with a patron who had a few too many.)
Said Rob Wyre, General Manager, “Our team members work very hard all year round providing exemplary customer service. This program is just one example of Isle’s commitment to our team members.”
The winner, Ramon Bautista (pictured with Wyre), has been employed as a casino cleaner since 2007. (He mentioned to officials upon winning that he really needed a car and this was a wonderful surprise.)
