Hialeah Park Hialeah Park Casino (2200 E. Fourth Ave., Hialeah,, 305-885-8000) is promoting “Mega Money Saturdays” this month, doling out $10,000 in free slot play and cash each Saturday. The casino gives away $1,000 in free play at 2, 3 and 4 p.m., then $2,000 cash at 5 p.m. It’s the same buildup Saturday nights, with $1,000 in free play hourly from 9-11 p.m., then $2,000 cash at midnight.  Player’s club members receive one free entry, and earn more entries with every 25 slot points earned.

Calder Casino & Race Course (21001 NW 27th Ave., Miami Gardens, 305-625-1311) gives away up to $5,000 in free play every 15 minutes from 5-10 p.m. each Saturday this month. Slot players can earn drawing entries with every 10 points throughout the week, and on Thursdays those with loftier player’s club status can earn from three to 10 entries for every 10 points accrued.

  Casino Miami Jai-Alai (3500 NW 37th Ave., Miami; Miami,, 305-633-6400) has $2,500 cash giveaways at 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. Fridays and Saturdays through January. Karina Iglesias of Miami, who just missed making the Top 12 in “The Voice” in 2013, sings from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday. Her repertoire includes R&B, hip-hop, gospel and bolero. The show is free.

Bourbon and beef just go together, so Seminole Casino Coconut Creek (5550 NW 40th St., is hosting a six-course dinner at its NYY Steak, paired with Knob Creek bourbons. The event is at 7 p.m. next Friday, Jan. 22, and costs $149. Call 954-935-6699.

Mardi Gras Casino (831 N. Federal Highway, Hallandale Beach,, 954-924-3200) has a homebrew competition from 2-6 p.m. Saturday. Patrons can sample more than 30 beers from local and craft homebrewers, along with barbecue and music.
