Powerboat races at Resorts World Bimini
Resorts World Bimini has booked a weekend of powerboat racing, April 28-29. The property includes a full casino, with craps, roulette, blackjack, slots and a sports book.
The sprawling 750-acre luxury beachfront resort, casino and marina on the Bahamian Out Island of North Bimini, will work in conjunction with the Offshore Powerboat Association (OPA).
Resorts World Bimini is home to the largest marina in The Bahamas, with 280 slips and the ability to accommodate vessels up to 200 feet, officials say.
Ed Farrell, president of Resorts World Bimini, said in a news release: “It doesn’t get any better for boating enthusiasts than Bimini’s crystal blue waters, sweeping views of the Atlantic, and endless fishing opportunities. If you’ve never experienced one of these high speed competitions, the Grand Prix weekend is the perfect excuse to enjoy the island’s relaxed charm, thrilling races, and a myriad of on property amenities at your finger tips.”
Resorts World Bimini is approximately three hours from Miami by boat with overnight and day trip ferry transportation via FRS Caribbean. Daily flights are available out of Miami, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach.
